Anthroposophy can add perspectives to the findings of the academic sciences, based on an epistemological foundation, artistic approaches, practical application and ethical considerations. Members of the Goetheanum Leadership present examples of this in a video series.
The Research Institute at the Goetheanum was founded a hundred years ago, prompted by the first experiments in search of a ‘reagent’ that can make life visible. The Institute‘s aim today is to understand the wider context in which life thrives and evolves.
Matthias Rang and Johannes Wirz are now leading the Natural Science Section at the Goetheanum. The two scientists, who have doctorates in physics and biology, will continue to develop the Goetheanistic approach of the Research Institute. Their research areas include optics and free will as well as genetics and bees.
Biodynamic agriculture produces high quality food and aims to contribute to the further development of agriculture. The brochure ‘Evolving Agriculture and Food’ documents the contributions to the first conference on biodynamic agriculture at the Goetheanum.
